Allergy Alert

Dear Parents/Guardians/Staff:

RE: PEANUT PRODUCTS IN SCHOOL

A student who is registered at our school has a severe life-threatening allergy (anaphylaxis) to peanuts and peanut products. Exposure to even a small amount of food substance could cause anaphylaxis. The school has established an emergency plan for the student.

The school has an obligation to establish a safe environment for all students. Therefore, we are requesting that our school be a PEANUT FREE zone, and that parents and teachers avoid bringing peanut butter to the school. Information concerning school lunches or snack ideas is attached.

Our objective is to establish and maintain a school, a school environment, and school buses, which are free of peanuts.

Thank you for your assistance with this important matter.

Sincerely,

John Munro
