Today, Dr. Morrison has announced two new positive COVID-19 cases affecting schools, one at Belfast Consolidated School and one at Montague Consolidated School. All close contacts, including staff and students, will be notified by Public Health to arrange for testing and will be instructed to self-isolate. Other students and staff in the schools who are not close contacts should monitor for symptoms and, if symptoms develop, get tested.
Local testing is available tomorrow, Sunday, December 19, at Wood Islands (198351 Weigh Station Road) from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Individuals identified as close contacts are encouraged to use the Wood Islands testing location.
